Class Work 10/12/12

In class today, you will do a mini-research project.  Take these five key religions - Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Judaism - and answer these questions about each one.

  • When and where was this religion founded?
  • Is it monotheistic or polytheistic?
  • If they have a holy book, what is it?
  • How many followers does this religion claim?
  • Who is the central figure of this religion?
  • What is the geographical concentration of this religion?
Christianity:
Christianity was a religion that was founded in the middle of the first century. It was founded in the middle east. Christianity is a monotheistic religion. That means that they only believe in one savior  There one savior is God. Everything about God is shown through the Christian's holy book. This book is called the "Bible". There are many people who fallow this religion. I know because 2.2 billion people are Christians, which is the largest religion. The central figure of this religion is Jesus. Christianity is found in many country's. However, it is practiced the most in the United States.
 Islam:
The Islam religion was started by an angel in 610 AD. It was founded at a certain place because it was founded when Adam was born.

10/11/12

Today we had a very good conversation on cultural. We talked about how some cultures really depended on there langue my notes were....

10/10/12

Today we had a normal class. It was kind of boring because all we did was share our power points and take note on the other two groups power points. The first group to present was the Native American group. Some of the the things that they shared in the power point i never knew before. then my group was next to share so i wait for my slide to pop up but it never did so i am guessing that someone deleted it and that really bugs me because i worked kind of hard on that. Then the last group shared. The last group did not get to share their whole power point  because the bell rang in the middle of it.

10/8/12

Today we started class with our normal prayer then Mr.Schick told us about our new class mate Mike. When he told us everyone cheered and got excited. Then before everyone got quiet again he came in. So Mr.Schick made everyone be quiet so he could introduce him to the class. then Mr.Schick started to teach. He started by talking about the vikings, Christopher Columbus, and Native Americans. He told us that we were going get into three groups and do a slideshow as a group on one of the three groups. So we divided up and starting working on it then the bell rung.

10/3/12

Today was a very interesting class. We started class with our normal prayer, then Mr. Schick told us about the cyber terrorist on Tuesday that erased everything one our webpage for cite to find out how we as a school can help people over in Africa. Mr. Schick was not happy at all when he told us because kids took advantage of their privileges. I believe that the other kids in the class that were doing what they were supposed to, were also mad because then they will have to restart all of what they have done already.

10/1/12

Today was a very fun day. Today we watched our video. The name of our movie is “God Grew Tired of Us”.  This movie is very interesting. One of the ways that it shows us how good we have it here in the U.S. After seeing this movie it bugs me when people complain about the U.S. This bugs me because we live in a good country. I know we do because we are a developed nation, we don’t have a terrible war going on in our country, and we are not being pushed out of our country. These are all very good this because if the first to were wrong then that would make the third wrong, which would not be good at all for the country.   This is just some of the many reasons that it bugs me when people complain about America.
